Claudia RossiĀ is founder and partner of Rossi Asociados, a boutique law firm based in Santiago (Chile). Ms. Rossi’s practice focuses primarily on technology-related transactions, including software licensing, hardware and software, OEM, VAR and other distribution arrangements, technology transfer and outsourcing agreements, electronic commerce, consulting agreements, content licensing and hosting arrangements. Ms. Rossi has considerable experience representing emerging companies and large corporate clients in a broad array of corporate and commercial issues. She handles a wide variety of matters, including bioinformatics transactions, data security counseling, joint marketing, strategic alliances, employment contracts, trade secret and intellectual property protection, employment policies and practices, and collaboration agreements.
Ms. Rossi received her law degree (JD), summa cum laude, from Gabriela Mistral University. She holds a diploma in Economics and Finance Legal Studies from Universidad de Chile and a master degree in Law from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a frequent speaker and lecturer on technology transactions and intellectual property issues. Ms. Rossi is a member of the Chilean Bar Association and the International Technology Law Association. She is also a member of the Agenda Digital Legal Advisory Committee. The Agenda Digital Initiative (www.estrategiadigital.gob.cl) was created in 2005 by the Chilean government to promote the development of technology in Chile through public policy.
