Laimonas Markauskas is a partner at NJORD Law Firm in Vilnius (Lithuania). He is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property, IT and Telecom, and Media, Sports and Entertainment practice groups. Mr. Markauskas focuses his practice on various aspects of intellectual property licensing and litigation as well as protection, information technology, legal aspects of advertising and protection of privacy; advice and negotiation on various arrangements within his field of practice; information security and privacy compliance; and the law of unfair competition and legal issues of marketing. His transactional practice includes licensing, outsourcing, joint ventures, M&A, and commercial arrangements that among other issues involve general intellectual property, privacy, and technology issues.
Mr. Markauskas is a member of International Trademark Association Enforcement Committee Oppositions & Cancellations Standards & Procedures Subcommittee. He is also a member of the Board of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania and member of the Board of Finnish-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce. He is also a lecturer at Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania). Mr. Markauskas was admitted to practice law in 2003.
