Esther Donio B. Nunes is partner of Pinheiro Neto Advogados in São Paulo (Brazil). She is in charge of the firm’s telecommunications and Internet groups. Ms. Nunes works in the fields of computer science law, technology transfer, trademark and patent licensing, and other regulatory issues. Ms. Nunes was president of ITechlaw Association from 2004 to 2005 and is a member of its Advisory Board. She is the current President of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo and member of the Board of ABDTIC (Brazilian Informatics and Telecommunications Law Association).

Ms. Nunes has published articles in Brazil and abroad on telecommunications, computer law, technology transfer rules, the treatment of foreign capital in Brazil, and licensing. She has been listed since 2002 in publications such as the Chambers Global, The World’s Leading Lawyers, Who’s Who, Which Lawyer? Yearbook, and Global Counsel 3000 as a leading or “highly recommended” lawyer in the communications and information technology areas in Brazil. Ms. Nunes graduated from the School of Law of the University of São Paulo, majoring in corporate law and specialization in Telecommunication at IPEJUR—Instituto de Pesquisas Jurídicas.
